Python for data work

Before we can ask good questions of data, the tools have to stop getting in the way. In three hours you'll learn the parts of Python every later session uses: NumPy for working with whole arrays at once, pandas for loading, inspecting, exploring and preparing a table, and scikit-learn for training a first model. You'll practise on small example datasets, so that from Session 1 onward the tools are second nature. The session opens with an overview of the whole programme.
